Portrait Photography Tips

22.  Shot lots because sometimes you can find a good picture that you weren't looking for.  Also you have lots to choose from when going back to see which one was the best.

When you use a small light source at close range it will make the shadow have sharp edges.  When  you have a large light source go farther away.

21.  Catch lights help you add flare to the subjects face.  They are usually spotted in the eyes as a white orb.  Also the eyes can have a glare to it and make it look glossy.

Digital Project 1

Simplicity and Repetition
Balance and Perspective
Dreams and Lighting
Sharpness and Lighting
Stillness and Contrast
1. When taking photos lighting really does matter.  When i was taking pictures of trees i used the suns lighting and at night i used the cameras lighting.
2. Either the Christmas lights or the tree at night.  They were both clear and they both showed my likes.
3. think i am still struggling with the idea of the the darkness of the picture.  Sometimes the picture is super dark or super light.
4. Kinda because i liked taking blurred pictures of lights but the interest of taking pictures of trees started to occur during this project.
